I started playing the baritone when I was eleven years old and a student in the Green Lake public school district, Green Lake, Wisconsin. Music remains central to my professional life. I am presently the director of bands for the Sevastopol school district. Two of my favorite composers are Gustav Holst and Percy Grainger, and I had the satisfaction of playing a Grainger composition during my very first concert as a member of the Peninsula Symphonic Band, in the fall of 2008.
