I started playing in 6th grade in Ashland, Wisconsin, and continued until I was in college. I took up the clarinet because I wanted to follow in my mother's footsteps. Another major inspiration for me was my high school band teacher, Mrs. Hulmer, who is still a dear friend. I love being part of a group having all different sounds come together to make a beautiful song. Professionally, I am a special ed aide.
